New Layout for GDS Challenge

This is a page that I did for a color challenge. I haven't done one before but I have been wanting to for awhile. So I saw a great new kit there and since I like to use kits from the site for the challenge and it since was free if you spent $10 I went ahead and got it along with an additional kit that I hope to use soon!

This is about my sweet Abby. She is such a terror at times, stubborn as can be (gets it honest I guess) and then the very next second she has her fingers in her mouth pulling her lips to the side and giving me her funny face. I guess that's what it's all about.

And here are the pages that I did with the templates. For this one I used a kit from char (wyldwebdesigns). The font is CK fashion. I recieved an email that there were CK font bundles on sale and I that was all the convincing that I needed! I love their fonts and only had a few in my collection. I am so EXCITED about them...lots of journaling to come!

HOPPIN BANANAS

This one is a new favorite. I used other shots of the same day for another page I used with another of char's kits. This kit is "hoppin bananas" by amy (mistifaeryscrap). I love the colors and the textures that she used on the papers and the banana just makes the page! Get the kit here!

I used the digfiles part 2 troublemaker kit by flergs, touch of color wordart by thalaris and a template from kkklatt at scrapmatters.

Abby...a daughter is a blessing
This one uses the kit breathe nature by jackie eckles of little dreamer designs along with butterflies from about a girl wordart by elisja design and template 40 by liz designs. I love the way this one turned out!

Ray happiness is...

This is the one I like best out of the three. I normally don't scrap Ray but today he was lucky:)

The kit is silly willy by scrappyweiss designs with wordart from nikki called blue skies - freebie from the hawt mamas, border is from life365 by gina marie huff.

I love using freebie kits and expanding on what there is, taking pieces of the elements apart to create new ones, changing colors to fit the pictures. I of course like all other digi scrappers have my share of purchased kits (total I am now at 62 gigs of digital scrap supplies!!).

I am also huge on mixing kits but mostly for personal use cuz it's too much like work having to keep notes of where everything came from! I am starting to do it now, all documented and accounted for:)

Abby had thin mints this afternoon (I think she is taking after me, all the things that I like she does, which is HUGE in this house considering the boys barely eat anything that I eat!) She kept showing me her teeth through smiles and I had to capture it.

Look at this kit! I fell in love with it at first sight! This is perfect for any girly layout but for that special someone too! And what about this template? I think it would make perfect sense to use them TOGETHER!!!!

I'm on a Roll!

I got so many pages done this week:) Although I have slacked on my 365 layout...I think I need to rethink the design...I am no longer digging the way that it is going so far:( but I think I'll work it out.
This is one of my favorite pictures of Abby on our front porch last summer. I used an action for it but have since lost that action and idk what it was called. I think it goes well with the colors of the kit. She is such a cutie!

New Layouts - Old Pictures

I have been going through old pictures and scrapping some of my favorites. As most of them are a few years old it's fun to go back and use the things that I know now...

This one is using a portion of the DigiFiles part 2 called hop skip jump. I think I will have to get them all!
This one is using another kit from the Digifiles part 2 called Flying High. It had a lot of fall type colors but I like the way the pictures play off of them.

This is my favorite out of todays batch. I used the kit full of wonder from Weeds & Wildflowers

This one is SO cute! I used a freebie I got today, maddies garden from here.

The colors are perfect and the textures of the elements is fantastic!!

This is a layout using a kit form Weeds & Wildflowers called Follow Your Bliss. It is so cute and perfect for any type of layout. I went a little crazy "window" shopping there recently...I think I could go into debt on that site alone.

Project 365 Week5

I am all caught up! I hate getting into those creative funks that don't allow you to accomplish much. I think the mojo is back or at least on it's way so I am geared up for this weeks layout!

Project 365 Week 4

Here is the layout for week 4. It took a bit longer to post as it wasn't finished until tonight. I haven't been able to work on it as my creativity just seemed to vanish for a few days. I think that I have found it or at least have an idea as to where it is because I got these done and want to do more but it is late and I need to get to sleep:)
