Heartfelt Country Release and Freebie!

Hey ya'll! It's snowing like mad here, every time I look out the window I feel like I'm living inside of a snow globe:) I'd much rather be in warmer temperatures but I guess that's what I get for living in the northeast U.S.

So to cure my winter blahs I've made this great little kit that is extremely versatile and can be used for a variety of themes. The soft colors are just muted enough to be pastelly but strong enough to give a sense of depth and texture.

So whether you're looking for that special kit to scrap the petting zoo, the farm you visited last summer or the country memories that you may have this is the kit to use! It's on sale tomorrow for only $3.50 for one week only - make sure you head over and grab it!!

Here is a fabulous little basket alpha to coordinate - grab it while it's free:)

Bella's Trinkets Freebie kit

So this was my week 3 challenge kit - theme was favorite movie, song or book. Since I haven't read a book in a LONG time that was out. I have tons of favorite songs but nothing came to me. And my favorite movie is not Twilight but I was listening to the soundtrack as I was looking for inspiration and it came to me.

The challenge was hard, almost no CU allowed on at least 15 elements and no patterned overlays. So I got my brain into work mode and managed to extract some really cool elements and did all the papers on my own. I think they came out really cool!

So if you want it you can download it from Gingerscraps just click the preview above.

Once the contest is over I'll have links here on the blog:)

Kit Release - Forever Heather and Wordart Freebie!

It is with a heavy heart that I release Forever Heather - a kit made as a tribute to a dear friend that passed away unexpectedly two weeks ago. She was the mother of my niece, a friend, a sister and a member of my family. She was a fantastic girl, full of life, smiles and mischief (lots of it!) and that is exactly how I will remember her.

I wanted the kit to reflect the loss but also the life that she did lead, the soft colors of her femininity, the florals to bring out her beauty and the whole kit to be a part of her now that she is gone. I felt strange about releasing it but after thinking about it I know that I am not the only one who has gone through a loss and felt the despair after that person is gone - this is meant to be a kit to use to remember those that we have lost and this says it best -

Do not cry because it is over, smile because it happened ~ Dr. Seuss

I worked on the wordart and it was a therapuetic process for me. I wanted to include things that weren't rememberance related but still meaningful to most. I hope that you enjoy them!

The kit is on sale this week for 35% off so make sure you head over to the store before you miss out!
